ALICE Needs Your Help

More than 4 in 10 Brevard households are working hard and still can’t cover the basics.

Meet ALICE

ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. ALICE households earn more than the Federal Poverty Level, but not enough to afford the basics where they live: housing, child care, food, transportation, health care and a cell phone plan.

They are our child care workers, cashiers, cooks, bank tellers and delivery drivers. They keep our community running, yet one car repair or medical bill can put them in crisis. And because they earn “too much,” they often don’t qualify for help.

United Way Space Coast invests in programs that help ALICE households stay afloat and move forward.
